Upcoming Events

The programming and other committees plan social and cultural events that focus on topics that are of interest to adults. Programs in the past have included health- and current events-related speakers and panels, lectures on secular and Jewish topics, trips to locations and centers of Jewish life, concerts, congregation-wide picnics and holiday celebrations , wine tastings and more. Check out our upcoming events.

Casino Night: Save the date! Join us Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. for a Las Vegas-style event. Gaming tables—Blackjack, Texas Hold 'Em, Craps, Roulette, Slot Machines—a silent auction and prizes, along with a martini bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres and desserts round out what is sure to be a fun-filled evening. Tickets, which include $10,000 in playing chips, food and two drink tickets, are $40 in advance or $50 at the door. Game table sponsors get free admission tickets.

For more information on volunteering on the committee or becomiing a sponsor, call Ezra Elkon at (703) 472-4441. To purchase tickets, call the Beth Sholom office at (301) 663-3437.

Beth Sholom Events
A community picnic is just one of the many cultural and social events offered at Beth Sholom for adults, youths and families. Throughout the year the program, education and youth committees offer a wide range of activities such as trips to New York and local museums, speakers and panel discussions on secular and Judaic topics, concerts, celebrations that focus on Shabbat and holidays and more. Whatever your interests, there is sure to be an event that interests you.
