Grades 8 & 9 Religious School Curriculum

For the fall semester, 8th and 9th graders will be looking at the Holocaust through primary and secondary source material while examining the following topics:

Remembrance, which includes Jewish life before the Holocaust, anti-Semitism, the causes of anti-Semitism, the repercussions of anti-Semitism, geography, ghetto life, death camps, righteous gentiles, the St. Louis, uprisings and language of the Holocaust.

Response, which includes art (both during and post-Holocaust), music, theatre, the response of nations, museums, and memorials.
