RELIGIOUS SERVICES AT BETH SHOLOM
Religious services at Beth Sholom are known for their warmth, communal atmosphere, active congregational participation and opportunity to learn.
FRIDAY EVENING SERVICES: Services begin at 8 p.m. and are followed by an Oneg Shabbat which is sponsored by member families and friends.
Family services for parents and young children are held on the first Friday of each month from September through May, from 7 to 7:30 p.m. An Oneg Shabbat follows. The regular Friday evening service follows at 8:00 p.m.
SHABBOS MORNING: Services begin at 9:15 a.m. and conclude approximately at noon. A Kiddush luncheon (usually with our traditional cholent) follows the service.
Bar and Bas Mitzvah students participate in leading the services both Friday evening and Saturday morning.
Kid-ish Kids, Shabbos activities for young children, meets every Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m.
Each week, the Friday evening and Shabbos morning services are always held at the same location, either the Community Center or the Synagogue. Watch for listings in the monthly Bulletin or on our Calendar to determine which building will be used. Updates will be posted on the home page of this website.
MINYON: Shacharis services are held every Thursday at 8 a.m. and every Sunday at 9 a.m. in the Weinberg Chapel of the Community Center. A light breakfast follows the 40-minute service.
HOLIDAYS: Schedules for holiday services are listed in the monthly Bulletin and on our website. Special congregational holiday celebrations accompany many holiday observances. These will also be listed in the monthly Bulletin and on this website. Most holiday services are held at the Community Center. Please watch the calendar.
