Youth Activities

Teen Volunteer Corps

Teen Volunteer Corps provides confirmation-age students with structured activities that will enhance service to their community and commitment to Jewish ethics, as well as promote social and interpersonal relationships. Teen Corps meets on Sunday mornings.

Shoresh

Shoresh, which means "roots," offers fun-filled and educational programs for Jewish youth, families and adults, a six-week summer day camp and holiday programs for children of all ages.

Shoresh builds positive Jewish identity among children and their families, regardless of prior Jewish knowledge, affiliation or observance, through a variety of educational, recreational and experiential opportunities. Utilizing its campus and facilities in Adamstown and fostering close personal relationships among participants and staff, Shoresh emphasizes appreciation of our Jewish roots and love for Israel and the Jewish people.

Brew-Crew Teens: Led by Mo Margolese, the Brew Crew meets twice a month at Starbucks on N. Market St. to discuss topics of interest to young adults with a Jewish slant. Join this lively, and often outspoken group for a cuppa joe and to find out about what's brewing!

Meet the officers
Max Radbill and Bayla Cohen are the president and vice president of the Teen Volunteer Corps. Both grew up in Frederick, are active in their high school drama productions and have strong ties to our Jewish community. Being members of the corps has given them the opportunity to hone their leadership skills, socialize with other Jewish teens and give back to the communities in which they live. Max and Bayla welcome all teens to join them.
