Welcome to Beth Sholom

Beth Sholom, a post-denominational congregation, has served the Frederick County Jewish Community since 1917. We welcome all to join our "family" as we focus on inclusiveness, promoting the interests of Judaism in general, the welfare of the people and community understanding.

Opportunities abound for members of all ages and levels of Jewish observance to learn, pray, serve and celebrate. We strive to ensure Jewish continuity through knowledge and awareness, and to create a community which provides a rich, nonjudgmental culture of love and concern for every person regardless of background or affiliation.

We invite you to experience our dynamic congregation through worship and social, educational and outreach activities.

Beth Sholom has concluded its search for a rabbi. The Board of Trustees and the congregation approved the hiring of Rabbi Murray Singerman, who began as senior rabbi February 1. We invite you to help us welcome him and his family into the Beth Sholom family.
