Shabbat and Daily Services
Friday Evening Services
Our one-hour Kabbalat Shabbat and Ma’ariv services begin each Friday night at 6 p.m. during the winter months and at 7 p.m. during daylight savings time. Join us for lively and spiritually uplifting prayers and tunes that make up our service. An Oneg Shabbat, or dessert reception, follows services; it’s a great time to catch up with friends and meet newcomers.
Congregational Shabbat Dinners
Join us on select Friday nights for Shabbat dinner following services. Check the calendar for dates and please RSVP no later than one week before. For more information and to RSVP, contact the Beth Sholom office at 301-663-3437 or reply to rsvp@bethsholomfrederick.org.
Yedid Nefesh
Join us at 7 p.m. on Friday nights from mid-June through most of August for a musical, ruach-filled (spirited) Friday night service. Some Yedid Nefesh services may be followed by a dairy potluck dinner—check the calendar for exact dates.
Shabbat Morning Services
Services begin at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary followed by a Kiddush luncheon that everyone is invited to join. There are many opportunities for congregation members to participate in or lead services. Contact the Beth Sholom office at 301-663-3437 for information on service participation or Kiddush luncheon sponsorship.
