Social and Cultural Events

The Adult Education and Program Committee plans social and cultural events that are of interest to Jewish adults. Entertaining events offered throughout the year include trips to museums in Baltimore and Washington, D.C.; guest speakers on Jewish, secular and Israeli topics; and musical concerts and movie matinees. The Congregation also sponsors holiday-themed celebrations—a Purim Bash, Chanukah and Sukkot parties, and Fourth of July and Lag B’Omer picnics—and Beth Sholom's fund-raising committee organizes a yearly Casino Night, a Reverse Raffle and a Jewish food festival. In addition, our members gather weekly for Mah Jongg and knitting clubs, and monthly for dinner and book clubs. Come join in the fun!
