Prayer Study Session with Rabbi Hoffman

5:00 PM - 6:00 PMOn Yom Kippur afternoon, Beth Sholom Congregation member, Rabbi Jeff Hoffman (Professor of Liturgy at The Academy for Jewish Religion and at The Aleph Ordination Program) will lead an hour-long session on one of the Yom Kippur prayers designed to help us experience the transformation that Yom Kippur can offer. The session will focus on The Thirteen Attributes of God (Yod-Gimmel Middot), a prayer that is repeated many times in Ne’ilah, the final service of Yom Kippur. The study session is open to all and will take place during the “break” in services at the synagogue on Yom Kippur afternoon, Thursday, September 16 from 5:00 – 6:00 pm.
