Ishmael Khaldi will talk to us about how he began his life as a Bedouin shepherd, became an educated world traveler, and went on to become Israel’s first Bedouin diplomat. We will also hear about Israel’s culture, society, and politics from the perspective of a minority citizen. He will also discuss his efforts to help the Bedouin transform themselves from a conservative to modern society in an effort to become part of Israel’s success story.
