For our High Holidays Appeal this year, we are celebrating the Beth Sholom community today - “ha-yom” - and embracing our experience as a thriving community of Conservative Jews in Frederick in the 2020’s. Today, ha-yom, we are a growing congregation, and a welcoming one, and a spiritual one. But we are also still learning what it means to be a conservative synagogue in Frederick in this day and age - what our community wants from us, what it needs from us, and how we can best serve our membership. The theme of ha-yom is both a celebration and an exploration, a statement and a question, a declaration and a reflection.

Today, ha-yom, we hope this theme will inspire you to think about your experience as a Conservative Jew. Are you getting all you can out of your experience? Similarly, are you putting all you can into your experience? Are there places where you would like to be more active? More spiritual? More intentional?
